Our specialty

Transformers for utility, industrial and public sector power

GovCrest specializes in the procurement and delivery of a wide range of transformers, including pad-mount, distribution and power transformers, designed to meet the needs of outdoor and indoor electrical distribution systems.

Specialists in a wide
range of transformers

Our transformers are engineered for reliability, efficiency and durability, and capable of withstanding harsh environmental conditions. We offer customizable solutions with varying voltage ratings, capacity and safety features to suit utility, industrial and commercial applications.

With a focus on performance, safety and compliance with industry standards, we make sure our clients receive top-tier equipment backed by exceptional service and expertise.

For a contracting officer, that means one contract and one account manager from specification to delivery. For an engineer, it means a unit built to the drawing, with the test report to prove it.

Customized to your
system and site

Tell us what the specification says. We source units built to it.

01

Voltage ratings

Primary and secondary voltages matched to your system, with taps for adjustment.

02

Capacity

From small pole-mount units to substation power transformers.

03

Phase and configuration

Single or three phase, loop or radial feed, dead-front or live-front.

04

Insulating fluid

Mineral oil, less-flammable natural ester, or dry-type with no liquid at all.

05

Safety features

Tamper-resistant enclosures, fusing, arresters, load-break switching and pressure relief.

06

Enclosures and finish

Standard, stainless and coastal-grade enclosures with the finish your spec calls for.

Lead times

Plan around the factory, not the hope.

Transformer lead times have stretched across the industry. We quote with factory-confirmed production slots, compare manufacturers when one line is full, and tell you when a standard rating or an equivalent design would reach site sooner than a custom one.

  1. 01Specification review against your drawings and one-line
  2. 02Manufacturers compared on price, slot and compliance
  3. 03Production tracked and factory tests witnessed on request
  4. 04Heavy-haul freight and delivery to the pad, pole or substation

Where our transformers
go to work

Utility, industrial, commercial and public sector applications across the country.

Military installations

Base substations, family housing, flight lines and maintenance facilities.

VA and public hospitals

Critical power for medical campuses where downtime is not an option.

Laboratories and research

National labs and research campuses with sensitive, high-value loads.

Water and wastewater

Pump stations and treatment plants that run around the clock.

Transportation

Traffic systems, rail yards, transit and EV charging depots.

Utilities and co-ops

Distribution system expansion, replacement and storm restoration stock.

Renewables and storage

Solar farms, battery storage and the collector substations behind them.

Transformer questions

What engineers, project managers and contracting officers ask us first.

Which transformer types do you supply?
Pad-mount, distribution (pole-mount and dry-type) and power transformers, in single and three phase, for outdoor and indoor installations.
Can you customize voltage, capacity and safety features?
Yes. We source units built to the voltage ratings, capacity, fluid, enclosure and safety features your utility, engineer or specification calls for.
How do you deal with long transformer lead times?
We confirm the manufacturing slot with the factory before quoting, compare manufacturers, and tell you when a standard rating or an alternative design would ship sooner.
Do you supply to state and local agencies and contractors?
Yes. We supply federal, state and local agencies, utilities and co-ops, and the contractors building projects for them.
Do units come with test reports and documentation?
Every unit ships with its factory test report, and we provide drawings, cut sheets and nameplate data for submittals and acceptance.
Can you meet Buy American or BABA requirements?
Where the contract or the funding requires domestic content, we source compliant units and document the country of origin with the delivery.
