GovCrest Inc. wants everyone who buys for a public agency, or sells to one, to be able to use this site. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we keep Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act in mind because many of the people we work for are bound by it.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone. Interactive elements have a visible focus state and a logical order, and there is a “skip to content” link at the top of each page.
- Text and background colours meet WCAG contrast ratios, including on the dark sections.
- Headings are used in order so screen readers can navigate by structure. Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative animation is hidden from assistive technology.
- Animation, the custom cursor and smooth scrolling are switched off automatically when your system asks for reduced motion, and the site works without JavaScript for reading and contacting us.
- Forms have visible labels, clear error messages and do not rely on colour alone.
- The site works at 200% zoom and on small screens, and reflows without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
The interactive map of the United States on the homepage is decorative; the same information is provided in text. PDF documents we send by email may not all be tagged for screen readers yet; ask us and we will supply an accessible version.
Tell us if something does not work
If any part of the site is hard to use, email info@govcrest.com with the page address and what happened. We aim to reply within two business days and to fix genuine barriers quickly.
Assessment
This statement is based on self-assessment and automated testing during development. It will be reviewed when the site changes materially.
