https://govcrest.com/ is operated by GovCrest Inc. (“GovCrest”). This site uses very few cookies, and none of them are used to build a profile of you or to sell to advertisers. This page lists what is set and why.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between pages or visits. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) are covered by this policy too.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
wordpress_*, wp-settings-* |
Only set when a member of our staff logs in to manage the site. Never set for visitors. | Session / up to 1 year |
| Session storage (loading screen) | Remembers that you have already seen the short loading animation so it is not shown again in the same visit. | Browser session |
| Spam protection (reCAPTCHA or Turnstile) | If enabled on our forms, the provider may set a cookie to tell people from bots. Google’s privacy policy or Cloudflare’s privacy policy applies to that cookie. | Set by the provider |
| Analytics | If an analytics tag is enabled, it may set cookies to count visits and pages. We configure analytics without advertising features and with IP anonymisation where the tool supports it. | Up to 2 years |
Third-party content
The contact page can show a Google Maps embed and the site loads fonts from Google Fonts. These requests send your IP address to Google when the content loads. The map is loaded only when it scrolls into view.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will keep working, though the loading animation may show more than once. Instructions for common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
Changes and contact
If we add a tool that sets new cookies, we will update this page first. Questions: info@govcrest.com.
